Marmalades
All our marmalades are hand cut from fresh fruit, simmered until the peel is soft before boiling to a set with English beet sugar. In our opinion, this is the only way to make a good marmalade. The sharpness and clarity of the fruit shines through.
The Grapefruit & Ginger and Blood Orange Marmalades are both stocked by Fortnum & Mason after being well placed in the World Marmalade Awards for two consecutive years. Nearly all of our marmalades have awards.
Many commercial marmalades are made from pre-shredded tinned fruit, the processing of the fruit effectively means the fruit is cooked twice, intensity is lost, so brandy, brown sugar or other flavourings are added to compensate. This goes against everything Cranfields Foods believes in so if you don?t have the time to handmake your own, let us make it for you!
